Terms of Service

Last Updated: July 26, 2026 · Effective for all Zoodo Marketplace users.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Zoodo Freelancer Marketplace (accessible via https://zoodo.space), creating an account, posting projects, or placing proposals, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must discontinue platform usage immediately.

2. User Accounts & Verification

  • Users may register as either a Client (Employer) or Freelancer (Service Provider).
  • Account information must be accurate, truthful, and up-to-date.
  • Identity verification (NRC, Passport) and Payment verification are required for full platform capabilities and verified badges.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and all activities occurring under your account.

3. Project Postings & Bidding Contracts

Clients post project briefs with budget estimates and delivery deadlines. Vetted freelancers place proposals detailing their technical approach, total bid amount in Zambian Kwacha (ZMW), and estimated delivery period.

Acceptance of a proposal forms a binding contract between Client and Freelancer to fulfill the defined scope under Zoodo Escrow protection.

4. Escrow Funding & Platform Fees

  • Escrow Protection: Project funds must be deposited into Zoodo Escrow via Mobile Money (MTN, Airtel, Zamtel) or Bank Cards prior to project initiation.
  • Milestone Release: Funds held in escrow are released to the freelancer upon client approval of submitted project deliverables.
  • Platform Service Fee: Zoodo deducts a 10% platform commission on completed project milestones to cover payment gateway processing, platform maintenance, and escrow administration.

5. Intellectual Property Rights

Upon full milestone payment release from Escrow, all intellectual property, source code, design assets, and deliverables produced by the Freelancer for the specified project transfer exclusively to the Client.

6. Limitation of Liability

Zoodo acts as a marketplace facilitator connecting independent clients and freelancers. Zoodo is not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from user disputes, third-party network outages, or unauthorized account access.
